The River Severn at Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire is located at the confluence of the River Severn with the River Avon. The River Severn is also still tidal at this point.

Tewkesbury, because of its low-lying floodplain location and the confluence of two major rivers, has experienced serious flood events e.g. July 2007.
